This tactic, which is becoming globalized due to the war in Ukraine, is new to Haiti, as the country struggles to beat back powerful gangs. It’s unclear if these drones were operated by police officers, or by contractors employed by Blackwater founder Erik Prince. Prince has armed contractors on the ground assisting the Haitian govt.
-The Colombian Air Force held Exercise Live Fire 25-1, focusing on air superiority operations. Airmen utilized DJI Matrice 350 RTK4 drones during the exercise. Armed forces in the region have been integrating UAVs, observing their utility in modern conflicts.
